30 Watch Brands Will Present or Debut Latest Watches to the US Market at Gotham Hall

Thirty of the world’s most fascinating and luxurious watch brands will return to New York this fall for the fourth edition of the WatchTime New York Show on October 26 and 27. WatchTime New York will take over midtown Manhattan’s Gotham Hall once again for two days of intriguing watch exhibits, talks, cocktail parties, and events.

As the only high horology show in America solely dedicated to the collector and enthusiast, WatchTime New York welcomed nearly 1,000 members of the public to each of its past editions, and this year’s show looks to be bigger than ever with 30 brands already signed on to exhibit.

From well-known luxury brands like Omega, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Breguet, to approachable models from Bell & Ross, Raymond Weil, and G-Shock, WatchTime New York offers something to interest everyone. WatchTime New York also offers rare access to showstopping designs and buzzworthy indie brands like Bovet, MB&F, RGM, Romain Gauthier, and Fiona Krüger. Unparalleled access and a full spectrum of designers and brands makes WatchTime New York the place to experience the breadth and variety of timepieces on the market today and the unique culture of watch collecting.

Already established as the largest public watch collector show in the United States, WatchTime New York has become the ideal stage for global watch launches, US product debuts, and first looks at the latest timepieces by leading watch designers.

Here are some of the highlights you can expect at WatchTime New York’s 2018 edition:

Exclusive Timepiece Debuts at WatchTime New York 2018

1.  In an exclusive global launch for WatchTime New York, renowned engineer and watch designer Romain Gauthier will present his Romain Gauthier Insight Micro-Rotor Natural Titanium timepiece. This oven-fired, black enamel watch’s signature feature is its bidirectional 22-karat gold micro-rotor, which is visible both from the dial side and from the back.
2.  American watch brand RGM will debut its William Penn Model to the public for the first time at WatchTime New York in a 10-piece limited edition with a new old-stock case (Swiss-made), American-made dial, and hands.

US First Looks at WatchTime New York

•  Czapek & Cie debuts its first-ever chronograph, the Faubourg de Cracovie Dioné & Rhea. The newly revitalized brand, which once catered to Parisian greats like Napoleon III, brings its third collection to Gotham Hall for all to see.
•  Traditional Swiss watch manufacturer Jaquet Droz will present its first-ever skeletonized timepiece, the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Skelet-One brings a new clarity and diversity to Jaquet Droz’s elegant collections. The brand will also bring its world-renowned minute repeaters, automaton timepieces whose delicate songbirds and butterflies are known to chime and move on the wrist at the push of a button.

•  WatchTime New York attendees can get a closer look at Bremont’s new Bremont U-2/51-JET watch, worn by Tom Hardy in his upcoming film “Venom,” which opens in theaters this October. The black-on-black watch, affiliated with the British Royal Air Force, suits Hardy’s dark character with a sleek, military-inspired profile.

Notable Timepieces Coming to Gotham Hall

•  In a rare treat for the United States, WatchTime New York attendees will get the chance to meet and greet watchmaking star Fiona Krüger, one of the few well-known female watch designers in the industry, who first made her name with her iconic skull-inspired watch designs.
• De Bethune will bring its GPHG-nominated DB25 Starry Varius, a highly coveted astronomical timepiece whose gilded Milky Way constellation dial may be oriented and customized to the collector’s exact location, even down to the day and time of choice.
•  Swiss watchmaking Maison Bovet brings its exquisite, celestially inspired Récital 22 «Grand Récital» timepiece to WatchTime New York. Limited to just 60 pieces worldwide, the Grand Récital features a three-dimensional view of Earth from above, hand-painted with otherworldly luminous material that glows in the dark.
•  Glashütte Original’s Senator Cosmopolite comes to New York with its impressive 36-time-zone display that has won the German brand major accolades, redesigned with a new dial layout and stainless-steel case for 2018
•  Montblanc will exhibit its limited-edition, green-dialed version of the Montblanc 1858 Monopusher Chronograph, a timepiece that perfectly suits the current mania for vintage-revival style.

On Friday evening, October 26, WatchTime New York will host its sold-out collector and VIP cocktail party and will return Saturday, October 27, for a full day of expert panels, lectures, tours, shopping, and watch exhibitions.
